The Rise of 760 Skin

Dew We Need 760 Skin?

In the desert city of Palm Springs, where cacti thrive and the sun reigns supreme, three friends decided to bottle up the essence of their hometown into a skincare brand: 760 Skin. Named after the local area code, this startup is approaching the beauty industry with a desert-inspired approach.

At the forefront of 760 Skin's lineup is their debut product, the aptly named Dew or Dry Facial Moisturizer. Retailing at $38, this vegan formula is a cocktail of desert botanicals including Cactus Stem Cells, Jojoba oil, and Evening Primrose oil.

The moisturizer also boasts trendy ingredients like Squalane and mushroom extracts (Tremella and Reishi), aiming to deliver a potent punch of hydration and nourishment.

Plus, the formula is free from phthalates, GMOs, and fragrances, catering to the clean beauty crowd. The texture hits a sweet spot—substantial enough to moisturize without leaving a thick or greasy film, a balance notoriously hard to strike.

But let's face it—in today's market, a good product alone doesn't cut it. This is where 760 Skin truly shines. Their marketing game is strong, and their Instagram aesthetic could rival established celebrity brands like Rhode or Summer Fridays. Picture sun-soaked lifestyle shots that scream "desert chic" and make you want to book a Palm Springs getaway with the girls ASAP.

The brand's crowning glory in advertising is its bold desert billboard proclaiming, "Dew me in the desert." It's cheeky, memorable, and gets people talking. This kind of marketing move suggests that the minds behind 760 Skin aren't afraid to push boundaries.

I loved seeing the billboard on my recent drive through the California desert!

However, I have to be honest. There seems to be a disconnect between the brand's luxe online persona and the actual product packaging (and the shipping box), which, to me, doesn't quite live up to the digital glamour.

Despite this hiccup, 760 Skin's savvy approach to branding and social media suggests they're a force to be reckoned with.

And one thing's for sure - in the ever-changing landscape of skincare, 760 Skin is carving out its own little oasis. Keep your eyes peeled (but moisturized, of course) for what comes next from this desert-born brand!
