Sunshine & Hailey Bieber in a Bottle?

Rhode Skin Launches Pineapple Refresh Cleanser

When Rhode Skin, Hailey Bieber’s skincare line, releases a new product, it's done with a lot of intention (and marketing dollars, we might add).

Her 18-month-old line carried five topicals to help us reach glazed donut skin status, and now “something fresh” has entered the scene - The Pineapple Refresh Cleanser.

A $28 foaming face wash designed to remove dirt, SPF, makeup, and other gunk without drying out your skin, Pineapple Refresh has a milky texture but still builds to a lather.

And the star ingredient is, of course, pineapple, specifically pineapple enzymes, which are a gentle alternative to standard chemical exfoliants like AHA’s and BHA’s.

Hailey Bieber loves her fruits.

Let’s stick with the Ps for a minute, though. In addition to pineapple, the cleanser is also formulated with PGA, polyglutamic acid, an ultra-hydrating, skin-plumping humectant that helps lock in moisture.

No stripped skin here.

The cleanser is also sensitive skin-safe.

Hailey suffers from perioral dermatitis and claims one of the biggest triggers of it is cleansers.

Bieber also claims she’s been dreaming up this cleanser for four years!

And we’re curious if she also used that time to devise her genius go-to-market strategy for this product cause it's that good.

Rhode launched an influencer testing panel, so even though the launch was supposed to be under wraps until January 16th, many saw social videos circulating that featured small white bottles marked “rhode sample cleanser”.

The marked testers helped the brand gather feedback on the formula and benefit from the social coverage, which added excitement to the launch.

We wonder if influencers sharing their white testers was fully organic or a push from the brand.

We may never know.

As part of the launch, rhode featured a tropical escape campaign that transports us to summer during dreary January.

Ajok Daing, Candice Swanepoel, and Bianca Blakeney were photographed in snorkeling gear alongside Hailey.

They gave each girl a month to represent as part of the brand’s calendar, which they sent to influencers.

Pretty cute, right?

But our favorite part of this launch that’s been making a splash on social is the huge bath bombs that encase the new cleanser.

Super innovative!

Whoever thought up this idea on the rhode team deserves a raise.

Wouldn’t you agree?
