Founded by longtime beauty industry fixture and global marketing exec, Aaron Ahedo (ex Deborah Lippmann, eShave) is a burst of pure joy. Product is found nestled among the clouds. Video content is well done, but playful. Ahedo isn’t overly buttoned up regarding its production and that’s fully part of its charm. He’s goofy, enthusiastic, and positively contagious.
“Founding Awesome Human was about creating a ripple effect of kindness — every product sold helps fund a story of hope and support by supporting micro charities,” Ahedo shares.
Headquartered in Miami, we feel like maybe we should move there if this is the vibe. If we didn’t know Ahedo already, we’d certainly want to. Taking a founder forward route to developing a beauty brand is a lot of work, and while we know all too well how much goes into that, Awesome Human’s fierce leader makes it look easy.
What’s most impressive is the range of options we have to choose from with such a young brand. This is a one stop shop for self-love boosts in both wellness and skincare and there’s an affordability factor that’s great to see, too.
“We’re part of the de-influencing movement — proving that you don’t need to spend hundreds to get the best,” Ahedo says.
The best part? Awesome Human’s very foundation is infused with philanthropic initiatives. The brand has selected a range of charities to contribute to with every single purchase 100% of the time. Compassion is always sexy as far as we’re concerned.
The heart of this is the brand’s Awesome Fund for Micro Charities, which provides donations to a designated cause in order to support the brand's commitment to positive global impact. The next contribution date will be on November 1, 2024 and consumers will get to vote for the winning charity to receive a donation.
“By connecting consumers with a diverse array of nonprofits, every product sold not only enriches lives, but also educates and empowers individuals to contribute to meaningful causes, ensuring that every dollar spent goes beyond the transaction to touch lives,” Ahedo explains regarding the Awesome Fund.
