A winning serve on the beauty court?
It looks like Serena Williams has left the tennis court for a quick sec to launch a…beauty brand?
Earlier this month, Williams launched Wyn Beauty after six years of development!
The line includes ten products for the under-eye, lip, and face categories, and we’re sure she’ll keep expanding on it.
Does anyone see body care up ahead? Maybe it's just a sixth sense we’ve developed on the beauty court.
Serena shared that she’s always loved beauty but felt like her options were limited when it came to products that could handle hours on the court.
We can’t relate, but we do see the empty space here.
While the line does give a nod to the sport with its tennis ball-green packaging, Serena claims it’s really geared toward anyone with a full, active lifestyle—long-wearing products with added skincare benefits.
The products range from $18-28 (we love a mid-tier brand) and are now available at Ulta.com and Wyn.com.
We can’t wait to see reviews roll in, especially for the skin tint, which is available in 36 shades and has a pump. LOVE.
However, we do have to say that, at first glance, there isn’t anything crazy revolutionary to see here.
Do we need another lip serum or brow pencil just because it has Serena’s name and branding on it? Maybe, but maybe not. We have to wait to see if they’re standouts.
It is getting a little tiring, though, how every public figure and celeb seems to be launching a beauty line, and they’re not markedly different from one another. Sigh.
Reddit users took to the platform to say that while Serena is clearly a legend, the line feels like a cash grab. We see their point.
Is this line a win? (Pun intended, of course).
Let us know if you plan on taking a serve and testing it out!
