Known for their high-quality yet affordable lip products, NYX Cosmetics did not disappoint us with their newest launch — the Duck Plump Extreme Sensation Plumping Lip Glosses.
Now we know what you’re thinking. The name is a little ridiculous. But it’s also catchy and cheeky.
In fact, It got us puckering our lips right now like we’re ready to take a ducking selfie.
The brand went full throttle with this launch on social media, posting videos of lips mouthing “what the duck” and rubber ducks in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

NYX launched these plumping glosses in 1 transparent and 16 highly pigmented shades.
From extreme shine to instant AND over time plumping PLUS, a ginger spice infusion, we can’t wait to try these babies.
From a consumer standpoint, we’d love to know if the models used in the campaign had lip filler. Are the results as real as the social images make them out to be?
And from a marketing perspective, the timing of NYX’s launch is interesting. The brand is riding on the tail of Maybelline, who also recently launched a plumping gloss. Who had the idea first?
Overall, we love how NYX is letting consumers experience the full, over-filled lip trend without touching a needle. And the pigmented shades are right on brand.
