A Body by Bader Botanical Release

A lovely luxury launch for spring, Augustinus Bader is serving up a limited release of its coveted body oil in a new geranium rose scent 🌹🌸

In time for Mother’s Day in both the UK and US, this giftable item provides an updated take on the brand’s original formula that appeals to more feminine, botanical scent preferences.

With a price tag of $110, consumers can expect high-end vegan formulation, a beautiful, fully recyclable glass bottle, and very intriguing claims including reducing the appearance of cellulite, serious hydration, and firmer skin — all under the Bader name which has earned a trustworthy reputation.

Bader placed significant emphasis on proof, highlightly real results from a clinical trial that lasted four weeks and included 33 participants ranging in age from 18-70.

The results concluded the following:

  • Skin hydration improved by 103%

  • Skin texture improved by 60%

  • Skin feels 25% more firm

  • Skin feels 24% more elastic

  • TEWL (transepidermal water loss) was reduced by 20%

The brand also came ready with clear differentiations between their new SKU and The Body Oil. In conclusion, the formulation is the same, but instead of the unscented original, consumers will enjoy the subtle scent profile included in the Geranium Rose Body Oil.

So far the reviews are highly positive on the brand’s site and press hits placed the oil on multiple best new launch lists spanning all the major publications’ round ups.

Unlike others in the skincare realm, you won’t find an endless stream of influencer collabs and UGC on AB’s social media feed. Nothing about the new oil is currently live on their TikTok, and as for Instagram, you can expect to find only highly stylized professional photography and video.

This doesn’t surprise us for a brand that falls into the prestige category, where it’s typical to find more curated design preferences vs. the organic feel as you move towards mass. The element of mystique adds to the luxury feel, while the emphasis on science and real results promotes trustworthiness and authority.

Bader has typically opted for a streamlined portfolio, but has been playing with limited edition launches more and more. We also saw a special edition of The Serum that’s still currently available in celebration of the Year of the Rabbit.

Do you think these short-term launches will continue moving forward? Are they playful and interesting, or should AB stick to the original formula of simplistic offerings with serious efficacy?
